I got into computing in the early 80’s starting out with the awesome Commodore64. Most of my youth was then spent either teaching myself to code or arguing with my brothers on who’s turn it was on the computer.
I’ve now been involved in computing for more than 20 years, working through the various roles of deskside support, software development, network support and infrastructure management. Through each of these roles I’ve implemented certain aspects of information security, even before the Data Protection Act was launched back in 1998.
I now focus that attention on security to even greater depths to ensure our clients have a clear understanding of their responsibilities. I work with their staff to ensure the overall business has a pragmatic and balanced approach to security that does not hinder their operations.
